He is STILL Risen!

So, have you come down off your Easter high yet?  If so, just pop another Cadbury Creme egg in your mouth, and that should give you the boost you need!  Man, those things are like crack cocaine, aren't they?  Not that I have experience with crack!  But drug references aside, we just celebrated another Easter in Life Group ministry, and one thing became very clear to me this year: The Easter message is the sole reason that we do what we do.  It all comes down to the Resurrection of Christ. It’s that simple. Nothing else matters.  If it were not for this powerful truth, we have no reason to be here and no reason to lead Life Groups.

So, as we move on from Easter Sunday, embrace the truth that the world just proclaimed: He is STILL risen! The same Resurrection power that transformed the world and continues to transform cultures, is still as real today as it has ever been! If we hold this truth in our hearts, it will come through in our leading and into every aspect of our Life Groups! We need to strive to make sure that this comes across to each person in our groups as part of their essential spiritual development. Easter is over, and we have set the stage for what the Resurrection is all about. Now as we move forward this year, we have the perfect opportunity to build on what Christ really means to us. Let's focus on what God’s grace is all about.  Build on this foundation!  It's the essence of who we are!

Realistically, many of the people in our Life Groups do not really know what a relationship with Christ is all about, nor can we be assured that all of them will come to Christ. But remember, it is not our job to "save" anyone. We like to carry that burden, don't we? But in reality, it is only our job to be faithful, follow Christ, plant seeds and do our best to cultivate healthy soil. Let’s leave the "saving" up to God and love our Life Group communities as much as we can. Teach them that He is STILL risen and that reality is just as powerful as it was over 2000 years ago!  He IS Risen!
